As the Father of Medicine, Hippocrates, famously said:
“Wherever the art of medicine is loved, there is also a love of humanity.” This quote reflects our philosophy- where the science of healing is inseparable from compassion and a deep commitment to human welfare.
We also draw inspiration from Theophrastus, the Father of Botany, who wisely stated:
"The art of healing comes from nature, not from the physician. Therefore, the physician must start from nature, with an open mind."
Rooted in this understanding, SCP proudly integrates the richness of India’s traditional systems of medicine, including Ayurveda, into our academic and research practices. These time-honoured systems emphasize balance, natural healing, and patient-centred care concepts that align deeply with modern pharmaceutical values.
This timeless principle “A physician, though well versed in the knowledge of the science, does not become competent merely by that; he must also be practically skilful” is at the heart of our pedagogy.
